ScubaDivingVacation.netDiving Vacation In Fethiye, Turkey: Beauties Of North-East Mediterranean Sea

At "Divers Delight Liveaboard", we offer our guests 3-night or 7-night cruises aboard a traditional Turkish gulet. It has 16 guest cabins, all en suite, and a knowledgable and friendly crew. The gulet has two large outdoor dining tables, as well as comfortable seating and sun loungers on the decks, so there is plenty of room to unwind. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and afternoon tea are all provided.

During the day, our guests will be able to scuba dive, snorkel, or even enjoy activities on land that we can arrange for them, such as a jeep safari to Saklikent Gorge, Tlos, and Patara Beach, or paraglide from the top of world-renowned Babadag Mountain. In winter there is a ski center in the nearby mountains and snow-skiing can be arranged, so our guests can take delight in winter sports during the day and still dive at night. Seven thousand British people have made Fethiye their home – the moderate climate, low cost of living, and low crime rate make Fethiye an ideal place for anyone who loves lots of sun and cheap beer. Actually, Fethiye is a small town with a picturesque harbor of sparkling water, surrounded by pine forests and snow-capped mountains. There is a lively nightlife in its bars and restaurants and plenty of shopping in the local market. In the nearby countryside there are the ancient cities of Cadianda and Tlos; St. Nicholas Island is one of our anchorages and has the ruins of a monastery and two churches of historical interest. Nearby, nestled in the mountains behind Oludeniz, is the uninhabited city of Kaya, a deserted city built along three levels of a lush valley. Sightseeing tours to these places can also be arranged.

We will be visiting such dive sites as Butterfly Valley, Turkish Bath, Barracuda Reef, Aquarium Wall, Turunc Pinara Amforas, Hillside Beachclub Wall, Balaban Island, and other places in the Fethiye-Gocek-Oludeniz area. The south coast of Turkey is rich with history and archeological finds and the seas are abundant with marine life. Moray eels, grouper, barracuda, octopus, seahorses are some of the marine life our divers can expect to see, and for the lucky, it’s possible to see dolphins, turtles and seals. The average water temperature in summer is 25 degrees Celsius, while in wintertime it is 18 degrees Celsius. For certified divers we can offer additional PADI ,CMAS and SSI courses; we offer open water courses for beginners, and a one-day try dive is also available. All dive equipment will be provided unless the guest prefers to bring their own. Our focus is on providing a relaxed and fun venue for divers and non-divers alike to submerge themselves in our crystal clear Mediterranean Sea and experience true Turkish hospitality. The captain and crew aboard the boat all speak English, so there are never any communication problems. Our guests will anchor in a different secluded cove every evening and enjoy delicious dinners by moonlight. On some evenings there will be live music aboard the boat. Night dives are also available for those wanting to experience this wonderful adventure - the divers will see completely different creatures than what they would see in the daytime dives.

We can also offer single-day diving and other local activities. World-class paragliding is available in Oludeniz Beach area, and class 4 white-water rafting is all conveniently accessible, as well as horse-riding, microlighting, water-skiing, and canoeing on Patara River. "Divers Delight" is a highly respected dive company operating in the Fethiye area since 1990, and an A-class travel agency since 1997. Let us take you on an adventure of a lifetime!
